SEO PLANNING / BASELINE

SEO Baseline Forecaster

Forecast daily traffic from GSC or CSV data. Check past prediction errors and calculate how much traffic you need each month to reach your target.

  1. Upload data
  2. Build forecast
  3. Review results

Input data

Upload a CSV with a date column and one metric: clicks, impressions or organic sessions.

Paste CSV or review loaded data

Editing imported data removes its GSC source label. Use one complete day per row, without missing dates or duplicates.

Use YYYY-MM-DD dates and exclude incomplete recent data. Data is sent to the forecast server for processing.

Q&A

What CSV format and history do I need?

From a GSC or GA4 export, keep only the date and your chosen metric. You can also connect Search Console above to import daily clicks or impressions directly. Weekly or monthly totals, Excel files and direct GA4 connections are not supported.

Use commas between columns and plain numbers without thousands separators. Do not upload CTR, average position or conversion rates.

90 days264 days · 37 weeks + 5 days
180 days444 days · 63 weeks + 3 days
365 days814 days · 116 weeks + 2 days

GSC supplies up to 16 months, enough for a 180-day forecast when dates are complete. A 365-day forecast needs at least 814 days via CSV. Annual and holiday patterns are more credible with two to three complete years.

Maximum: 3,650 daily rows and 500 KB. Keep the same site, segment and filters throughout the file.

Which traffic data should I use?

Use clicks for a site or category, or organic sessions for a consistent GA4 segment. Keep the site, segment and filters unchanged across dates.

How is historical accuracy checked?

Several historical tests select a simple model. A separate test measures accuracy on the most recent period. Every test uses your chosen forecast horizon. Selection periods may overlap for longer forecasts; the final check stays separate.

How should I use the forecast?

Compare the forecast with actual traffic and calculate the gap to your target. The forecast does not include future SEO changes or Google updates. The seasonal estimate is separate unless the calendar model passed the model-selection checks.
